Join The Cleanup Club for a Lake Erie beach cleanup at Sterling State Park! 🌊
The 5th of July is the dirtiest beach day of the year in the U.S. due to 4th of July gatherings filled with fireworks, red solo cups and left behind trash. Since the holiday lands on a weekday this year, this weekend is a super important one to come out & help us cleanup plastic littered on the shorelines of our Great Lakes! 🌎
All trash we collect will be weighed, counted and categorized for Great Lakes plastic pollution research & advocacy efforts.
WHAT TO KNOW:
Our goal is to cleanup Lake Erie’s shoreline while having fun!
Everyone & anyone is welcome!
Cleanup materials will be provided.
WHERE TO MEET: We’ll be meeting on the beach. Drive to the south end of the park and park in the last parking lot (right before the camping area entrance) and walk to the beach.
Sterling State Park requires either a state park pass/recreation passport or fee for entrance.
Rain or shine!!
We hope to see you there! 😊
