Join us for a community cleanup as we work together to keep our connected waterways trash-free with Bucket List Experience and Dee’s Green Cleaning! 🌎
Together - with volunteers on paddle boards and on land - we’ll be cleaning up the area of the Clinton River that empties into Lake St. Clair, also known as the Clinton River Spillway. This area is incredibly important to keep trash-free because everything that flows through will inevitably make its way into Lake St. Clair and ultimately, our Great Lakes.
In fact, did you know a large portion of ocean plastic makes its way into the ocean from rivers? Similarly, that phenomenon happens with our Great Lakes too. So join in the fun as we help keep our rivers and lakes clean! 🪣🧤
With so much debris ending up in hard-to-reach places along the river, we’re stoked to be partnering with Bucket List Experience to offer some surf & turf cleanup fun! Volunteers on SUPs (stand-up paddle boards) will cleanup trash and plastic pollution along the seawalls and other hard-to-reach-places while volunteers on land cleanup the riverbank and trail area. Paddle boarding spots will be limited, so we encourage you to arrive early if you hope to claim one!

WHAT TO KNOW:
Our goal is to cleanup our community while having fun!
Everyone & anyone is welcome!
All cleanup materials will be provided.
Please wear clothing that you don't mind getting a little dirty or wet.
Please bring along a reusable water bottle so you can stay hydrated with provided water refills without single-use plastic.
Paddle boards are limited and will be first come, first serve.
